water?

does anybody know at what age you can give babies water? my son is 5 weeks old and it is so hot here and it seems like he is spitting up a lot more with this heat so i was just curious on what age. Thank you for any info!

I read the same thing about the 6 months + also read that if you give a young baby to much water it can cause problems

i started giving mine at 2 months old but just 1oz no more...

water toxicity (sp) or somthing like that.
because i wanted to give chloe water in the first few weeks too
then i read a whole bunch of stuff & said HELL NO!

hmm... my doctor told me not to give water until 1 year. She said it can cause an electrolyte imbalance and cause seizures and all kinds of problems.

my daughter doesn't like water actually now that I think about it she doesnt like anything but breast milk lol trying to introduce her to solids and she gets fustrated
