I tapped him. :(

About 10 mins ago I was changing my sons nappy and he was being the most naughty I have ever seen him. He was getting poo everywhere, screaming on the top of his lungs, trying to roll over and just plain having a tantrum. Anyway, I gave him a firm tap on his leg. I was getting so frustraited with him! Well, he stoped his tantrum and just stared at me and I changed his nappy in silence. He stood up and gave me a hug right after.
I've never smacked him before, I feel so horable. I beleive in smacking, mostly becasue most kids these days need a good kick up the bum. But I still feel bad, I actually burst into tears after I did it. It was just a tap, just enough for a sound. I don't think he expected it, shocked him more then anything.

Please don't start being horable to me becasue I smacked my child, if you don't belive in smacking that is your choise, this is mine because of my upbringing and beliefs, thank you.

its okay mama. how old is he? i do spankings too or little slaps on the hand or butt. spanking is last resort normally i do times outs for my daugther.

we spank on a last resort. kyle hasnt been spanked yet. you have to discipline somehow

I have tapped Nathan before when he does that. He's REALLY bad about it though because he tries to play with his poop in his diaper. Umm no.

I would not make it habit to smack a child but sometimes it does need to be done to get the point across. Don't feel bad, I do think he is a bit young though so just be careful

He turns one year old in 2 weeks. I've never smacked him before. I think I shocked myself more then he was!

proably girl. its okay though dont feel bad about. if u dont want to do that resort to time out in a pack n play or crib for 1 min since he's almost 1 but some girls on here say 1 is to young so its up to u on how u disipline him
