Pre-term labor at 25 weeks

So I had my Dr.'s appt today... I'm 25 weeks 4 days. I have been having bad contractions for the past week that have been very frequent, just not regular. I told my Dr. about them and he was very concerned. (Note: I have a history of pre-term labor, it started with my son at 33 weeks and I had to be hospitalized to stop it twice and placed on bed rest until 37 weeks when they couldn't stop it anymore).
He didn't check me at the appt. so I have no idea if I have started dilating yet. He prescribed me Terbutaline to take every 4-6 hours and told me to come in to L&D if the contractions are regular at all. He says I can continue working unless the situation gets worse, then I will have to stop working.
I have had a horrible feeling since I have become pregnant this time that she will be a preemie. I am really upset and scared, I don't want a micro preemie. Has/is anyone going through this, this early in their pregnancy?  

I started to go into pre-term labor at about 27 weeks with my son. But lucky enough we stoped it with meds and bed rest. We made it to 35 weeks. Good luck mama! Just take it really easy and let your OB know everything that is going on.

Aww mama So sorry to hear this. TRY not to overly stress about it, it'll make it worse. How often do you have to take the terb?

Ugh thanks... I have a feeling I will be on bed rest soon. I always complain about working and how I can't wait to stop, but I didn't want it to be this way. I don't know why my body sucks so bad... I would give anything to have a normal pregnancy like other people instead of this.

whats your cervix measuring, do you know?

Dr. said every 4-6 hours. I told him when I took it last time I was pregnant I couldn't sleep so he said I don't have to take it at night unless I need it... I hate the way it makes me feel.

Im really suprised you werent checked. Expecially since you have a history of pre-term labor and have been contracting.

I had to have my labor stopped at 25 weeks. I went in to L&D twice that week. Even after being prescribed Procardia to stop my contractions.... So far so good (I will be 28 weeks Friday)... Im surprised he didnt check you to see if they were changing your cervix or send you for a cervical ultrasound.... If you have more than 5 in an hour then go in to L&D so they can stop them and ask for a fetal fibronectin test. I had one done at 25 weeks and it came back negative... I had another done today at my appointment but didnt get the results yet. It lets you know if you might go into labor in the next two weeks. Im also surprised he didnt put you on bed rest... especially after your past experience with preterm labor... Im on bed rest until 36 weeks. Yeah IDK, I know they try to avoid checks because it irritates the uterus and can introduce infection... but I have a feeling I will be in L&D within the next week or so.

Thank you   Do you feel like pressure down there like somethings sitting on your vagina? That's how I feel.

Hmm good point. I would make him check! If he finds out you are maybe they can put that stitch in your cervix to help keep it closed? I would just hate for you to be dialating already and not know it!   I love my Gabby already gotta keep her safe!
