will babys stop feeding when they are full.....or keep eating

my friends just had there son he was two weeks early and 6.7...he is three weeks today and the say he is eating 4 ounces at a time, but then gets crampy gassy and fussy, the nurse told them to feed him smaller amounts more frequently..they dont listen, they say he is fine but complains about the other stuff, so my question is would he just keep eatting bc he wants to suck , i mean he cant be more then 7.5 pounsd for tiny baby..

yeah they can keep eating because the sucking is soothing for them. tell your friend to try a pacifier

he might be fussy anyway, but they should try reducing the amount for a day and see if that helps.

like 100 ppl told them that even nurses but they are like well they only opinions ..but the baby i can tell is in so much pain bc he is stomahce is all bloated and sore.. but you cant really be forceful with new parents they might just have to learn the hard way
