Discharges that occur in pregnancy, (Maybe TMI)

I have been noticing an odor in my discharge. I know discharge is common during pregnany, but the smell is making me uncomfortable. I have a feeling it might just be from having sex and then leaking bc of that. But how can I be sure? What should I look for? I don't think it's amniotic fluid bc it's not sweet smelling, just foul.


Any comments will help.

Btw, I am exactly 28wks today.

Foul smelling odor is usually a sign of some type of problem. Best to call your doctor and have it checked out.

have you had yeast infections with your preg? i have had like 4!!! and before ive never had ANY. Well- my dr said it can be brought on ultimately by preg, but also with sex, ittirtating my uterus, and his sperm mixing with me....TMI ...yes i know- his suggestion was condoms, which we have been using as of the last 2 weeks, and no weird discharge, nor weird smell...and i previously would have both right after sex....my discharge was a weird plasticy smell almost...anyhow turned out it was cervical mucous from agitation. another thing BV(bacterial vaginitis??) is also something you may wanna be checked for. it is similar in symptoms of a yeast infection but also comes with a slew of symptoms broguht on directly after sex, like a fishy smell and what not....

That really does help, thats whats been going on. We might look into that, and ill mention something ab a infection.

would it be okay to wait til the 17th of this month to get checked for it or should i get checked sooner? thats when i go back to dr. thanks mama!

I personally would get checked sooner. There is no reason to wait.

id go on and call, bc i waited with my latest yeast infection and it caused excessive irritation in my cervix and made me hae contractions really bad...they were 2 minutes apart, and i had to go to the hospital get a shot to stop em and all sorts of stuff!! so if it is a yeast thing, def call they will prob tell you to just go on and get the monistat 3 day ovule thing..but id call and ask em

Hi ladies, just wondering. My husband and I were wondering what this thick snot like discharge that I saw on my undies, it doesn't have a strong smell though. Could this be a sign of pregnancy? thanks!

Get a pregnancy test and see.

I would definitely get checked for BV I have had it twice this pregnancy and it makes you smell very fishy after sex when your fluids mix with his, my Dr. said that's one of the major signs of having it. I had a yeast infection in between the two BV infections and didn't notice the nasty odor like when I had BV.

The thing is I just had my monthly period 2 weeks ago .. , I'll check with my ob two days from now to have myself checked .   thanks

Your probably Ovulating, which results in an raw Egg white type mucous.

hmmm yeah, I actually thought about that. I'll be visiting my ob 3days from now,   kinda scared though
