reaction to the MMR Vaccine , 3% of children ??

So my daughter had her 1 year shots last week and she has been running a fever off and on since.. last night and today her temp stayed between 101 and 103 so I called the pedi thinking she had another ear infection .. we go in and nope ears are perfect , throat is great, chest sounds perfect.. but i did notice a few what looked like bug bites it started with 2 when we got there by time the pedi finally came in there were 6 of them .. She is having a reaction to her MMR Vaccine.. the pedi said 3% of children have this reaction .. she said to expect fevers and more red bumps to pop up over the next week and to alternate tylenol and motrin every 3 hours   .. my poor little sugar ... anyone else experienced this with their childern and the MMR?

My son had an alleric reaction to a vaccination.

I didn't knw they were cultured in egg embryos and he is allergic to egg.

oh wow i didnt know that either ... there seems to be a lot they dont tell parents about the vaccines

Rogue didn't get bumps, but she got a fever and had a febrile seizure caused by the MMR shot. Along with alternating Motrin and Tylenol, you can also give her lukewarm baths and I'm glad your pedi told you about it. The doctor I took Rogue to see just laughed and told me it wasn't from the MMR shot

I don't know which one it is, I know for a fact the flu and others....but he got the Hep and DTAP that day. It was awful his eyes were puffy and swollen.

well she almost dimissed the bumps as bites too and then she took a second look and told me it was from the MMR .. i wasnt able to take my daughter to get her shots so my grandmother did and apparently the pedi told her there was a small possiblity of this but of course my gma forgot to tell me ... i would have just brushed it off as bites too

Good thing you have a pedi that explains things, if I saw the bumps I would've thought bug bites since its Summer. The fever is what got me, she had never had a fever before and then we took her to the doctor for a lump behind her ear [swollen lymph node they said] and she had a 104.3 fever. I did research and found it was from the MMR shot.

yes i love love love her pedis.. she sees 2 different ones at the same office and they are both wonderful .. this was the first time she has had any kind of reaction to her shots .. she never gets fever or fussy or anything .. so it was weird but im glad she is okay

Awe poor girl! I think my son had a reaction from a shot but not sure which one or if thats what it was. He got his shots and got a fever on Monday and was sick all week long and hs fever got to 105....he was so hot and red and just wanted to lay around, poor guy.

The FDA states that about 1% of adverse reactions are reported to VARES

The CDC state its About 10%

that being the case the numbers of baby's having a baby reaction to this and other vaccines is way higher then stated by current statistics!
