cow's milk question

My daughter will be 1yr old in 3 weeks and i was wondering if it was safe to start transitioning her to cow's milk (like diluting her formula with cow's milk) as i want her to have that instead of giving her stage 3 formula (unless of course if it was necessary). She has no problem with lactose or anything so i don't think it would be a problem.

She's currently on 2 or 3 bottles a day (sometimes she sleeps through her lunch time one) so she'll only have one when she wakes up in the morning then one before she goes down for the night.

That is when I started to give my LO cows milk. I'd say you've got a good plan.

apparently its fine to start transition now.. too bad i didnt know and kept isla on formula till she was like 19 months or more! grrr

Yeah thats the way to go. Replace 50 mls for a week then 100 the next week etc..

I waited until after their 12 month needles...but thats when we did it,
and we put say a 1/4 cows milk for the first three days in thier normal formula bottles, then 1/3 for three days, then half half, then 1/3 formula and milk, then 1/4 formula/milk
then after around 12 days they were on full cows milk
there was a little timew here their poos changed, but that was to be expected.

Dont race to change her tho hun, if you dont think shes ready...You're her mum and you willmake the right choices for your bub.

oh ok. Their poos changed how (harder or softer?) sorry i just wanna be prepared lol. Ya i'm just going to ease her into it.

You can mix it with BM and put it in her sippy, Try adding it to her breakfast instead of BM ( thats how i did it anyway )
