well i think 30 is young LoL but really I just want opinions because i'm kind of on the fence about it on one side i'm completely for women choosing what to do with their bodies no matter what but I can't imagine my parents being 50 and 60 trying to play with me and take me places and humiliating me infront of all my friends for being soo old and what not.. not to even mention all the risks involved for both the mother and child

the younger the better... you have to remember that our periods start at the age of 9-16! our bodies were designed to have babies very young... therefore, an older woman is just increasing the chances of complications during pregnancy and/or birth by having children at a later age...

I don't know, but I know a woman who is 40 and on her 7th child. They don't plan on stopping there, either. They don't believe in birth control, so they think that as long as your body can produce babies then you need to keep going.
I know I wouldn't be able to handle it!

here are some pros to having children in your 40's:

*more likely to be financially stable
*more life experience to share with your child
*your friends are also likely to have children by this stage so you can have someone to relate to
*not as likely to be concerned about body image and the negative effects on the body that pregnancy can bring, as the body has begun to age and undergo negative changes at this point anyway

actually people's body's are still developing until they're 17 i believe, so having a baby earlier than that isn't a good idea because your body development competes with the baby's development

if i remember correctly from my psych class (was a long time ago) biologically the best time to have a baby is in the early 20's and really up to 35
but once you hit 35 chances of genetic problems start rising

so maybe you want to talk to women who are 35+

My mom had her 6th at 37. Would've probably had more too but had to have hysterectomy b/c of ovarian cancer.

some pros to having a baby "older" is:

* you tend to have more patience
* you've most likely done what it is you want to do - ie college, in a good career...
* you're relationship...most likely marriage but not necessarily...is likely to be more stable

Some cons:
* get tired quicker
* may not be able to wrestle around and run and stuff w/the kids
* the pregnancy difficulties that are more likely to occur.

I am pregnant with my fourth and I am 41. My other 3 I had at 23, 25, and 28. So I have a bit of experience being pregnant in my 20's and now again over 40. I could probably write an essay on the pros and cons of younger versus older pregnancy...
