Sleep help?

posted 21st Aug
I know BG gets these kinds of posts everyday but I still haven't found a solution...

My daughter is 19 months old. She used to sleep perfectly... all night, when her dad and I split I moved her back into my bed (I know wrong move but I needed the cuddles. lol) Ever since (its been about 2 months) her sleep has slowly just screwed up. I lay her down at 930 almost every night (thats the time she normally went to bed that hasn't changed) and she usually falls asleep easily. However, lately she will wake up at 12am and won't go back to sleep until around 3am.. No matter what I've done it seems she still does it, if I skip a nap she does it, if she gets her nap she does it, if she gets a bath or not before bed she does it, if im in bed or not she does it, its like a bad schedule I can't break. IDK what to do. I'm 24 weeks pregnant and I can't wake up extra early to wake her up cause I end up passing out on the couch or somewhere (not very safe to have a toddler walking around and im out! that scared the crap outta me when it happened, haven't done it again) I am at a loss of what to do now.... I need help!! I can't stand waking up at 1 and I can't do it after the baby gets here. Someone please help me!?!

Let her cry it out in her bed? I can't think of anything else that would work. My pediatrician sold me on that, I am going to do it when my LO is a little older though.

that's the thing she doesn't cry she just plays or talks to herself or teddy... even locked her toys up (not literally but she couldn't get them) and she still stayed up just talking.

Does she still co-sleep with you or is she in her own room in her own bed? If so, I would just let her talk and eventually she will fall asleep. If she is not crying or upset, then no sense in bothering her. I always think Grace will talk for hours but usually if I leave her alone, she will talk a few minutes then before I know it she is out. I personally would figure out the bedtime routine you want to do with her and stick with it, whether it be bath at 8 and bed at 9. Consistency is the most important thing!

shes on a consistant routine at night but my thing is when she wakes back up. and I tried just letting her talk last night and shewas still up at 330...   I will try it again tho.

Quoting Mommy to Grace yet Expect:“ Does she still co-sleep with you or is she in her own room in her own bed? If so, I would just let her ... [snip!] ... you want to do with her and stick with it, whether it be bath at 8 and bed at 9. Consistency is the most important thing!”
