circumcision (sp?)

posted 10th Jul '07
ok so we went to the doctors when my son was 2 weeks old to get him circumsized they wouldnt do it at the hospital dont know why but when we went to get it all done the doctor checked his penis and said she recomended we not do it because if we did get it done the skin would heal over the head again and he would need a second circumcision at 6 years of age the doc had said he had a buried penis that she shouldnt have to pull theskin that far back to see the head i guess i just think he has a small one? but she said for us to wait at 6months to 1 year to 2 years i personally think that is to old to get it done and now im just worried because i want my son to be circumsized and id ont want to have to wait that long and put him through that pain but my bf want it done even if its done at 2 years of age anyone else heard of this buried penis thing lol i shouldve got a second opinion

maybe you should get an opion or a couple of diffrent doctors. I have never heard of that, i mean the skin growing back over it. I have heard of the penis getting burned. But i agree waiting a year is too old.

Maybe get a second opinion, but Ihave heard of the skin growing back over it. It's because they can't/don't take enough of the foreskin off the first time. Check around and see what some others say. Good luck.

Yes there is a condition called a burried penis. I saw a guy get his fixed on Dr.90210. You should do some research on it as well as getting a second opinion.

I think that's happening to Hunter. But I refuse to get it redone. At his 6 month appointment, I heard his pedi talking to a nurse about "he has too much skin" on it... but didn't say anything to me. I mean, it's not going to kill them not to get circumcised. That's why if they say he has to have it redone (my son) I am not letting them do it
