Is it normal?

To freak out over your child starting school? My oldest starts pre-k this year and I am so worried. I cried myself to sleep thinking about it last night. 

yeah. it's that next big step to not needing mommy any more (in our minds at least)

No! I have been crying the last 3 days because my son started "school"

I cried the first day of my son going to kindergarten and then again this year for first grade.... and I cried the first day my youngest went to daycare.  

We have open house tomorrow night and I am dreading it. I know that she won't need me as much anymore

Dhani's orientatin is Friday. I KNOW she went last year...but it seems so much differentthis year. I had to buy her supplies, She starts with the rest of the school, NOT in September, it's like she REALLY is going to REAL school!!

Yes, as excited I am...I am sad!

I think it is normal. I cried when Kady went to daycare. I didn't when she went to pre-k but I think I might since she is going to be in kindergarten. It makes me sad that my baby is growing up.

Thinking about it freaks me out too but I still have some time. I ♥ U

aw i would be sad too!! mine has a long way to go but im sad thinking about it lol

Totally normal! I cry every year. Pre-School, Kindergarten, and 1st grade. Probably will cry again for second. I think it's just my fear that she won't fit in or that someone will be mean to my baby. But she always seems to love school and her classmates. So I've always cried for nothing.
