is this a go to the doctor thing? kinda icky

I am 7 months pp. I have had only two pp periods. Well until yesterday. I started two weeks early and its bad. I am completely soaking an overnight pad every hour and passing clots the size of grapes. I bled through a super plus tampon and a pad in four hours last night. I am cramping something wicked too. I know its not a mc because I havent had sex in close to a year. So should I call and get seen, go to th ER or jst let it be?

If you're passing clots, I say go to the ER - sounds WAY more than just a period! Good luck!

are they sure you passed all your placenta after birth? You might just need a curette

My 2nd PP period was just like that! I was in bed for 4 days and was bleeding just like what your saying! I had to set an alarm for every hour at night so i could go change it! I also had lots of clots too! I gave it a few days... I am not big on Dr.'s lol and I was fine... but if you feel like you need to be seen then go! trust your instincts!

bacterial infection...I have one right now and it's from my inbalance in hormones. My OB said you can get one up to a year PP

It just made me think of my miscarraige, i passed clots the size of my hands and that was months after. It's prob not it just made me think of that

nope everything has been fine ever since then! I always thought it was super weird though! because my first PP one wasnt really bad.. and then that one was the most horrible thing ever!!! I guess I never felt like something was wrong because before we TTC my son I had been on the pill since I was 10 because I had super messed up cycles.. and now I am not on anything. I told myself if I didnt feel better after 4 days I would go in... but like I said if you think you need to be seen then go! I am just telling you how it went with me!

i dont want to go to the dr. i have no one to keep my kids and on post they arent supposed to be in the ob exam room anymore. thats what another girl told me yestrerday

I'd definitely call your doc. I had symptoms similar to yours for almost 3 months straight at 17 months pp. I'd have days where it'd be like a normal period, and then days where I'd bleed through pads so fast and I'd have clots between the size of golf balls and softballs  I eventually went to the gyno, and was told it was complications from PCOS. Basically I hadn't been ovulating for over a year and my body was cleaning itself out.

I was put on an extremely high dosage of birth control pills for the first week (4 a day), then went down to the normal one pill a day. I haven't had problems since!
