Red Poop???

posted 12th Aug
I got my son's daycare sheet when I came home from work last night, and his teacher had put on the paper that at 4:30pm she had changed his diaper, and it was red poop. I spoke to her about it, and she said there was definitely not blood in it. It was just red. This morning his poop was orange. Is this anything to be alarmed about? (He's 8 months old)
Thanks Mamas!

Actually, yes. He had carrots for lunch. I hadn't even thought about that. Thanks.

I would keep a close eye on your son. While the color is most likely from the carrots, my main concern would be if it has persisted. If so, stopp carrots from his diet, and keep a close eye for a while. If still orange or red, see your dr right away. Also if he has any appearance of pain or trouble pooping, or if it becomes softer/more frequent while appearance in color, see your dr right away. It never hurts to be sure!
