I'm being accused for stealing money

My friend and I went to the bar about two weeks ago.. We took my car and I was the DD. I only had one or two beer and she had ten with 2 shots of crown royal. Well she lost her wallet.. I saw it going to the bar but I never saw it coming back from the bar. She found her wallet and she texted me yesterday that I'm the one that took her money and my fingerprints were all over the wallet. She said she took it to they cops and they fingerprinted it. The only way my fingerprints would be on it was by moving it over when it was in my car. She claimed she had $400 dollars in her wallet but i never saw the money. Well she is saying if I don't pay her the money then she's gonna press charges against me. Is there anyway I could get in trouble for her losing her wallet while she was in my car while she was drunk?

wow. some friend! doesn't she trust you? i would be pissed. and honestly, thats not a very good case for her, i mean, she was drunk so its your word against hers...i don't see how she'll be able to press charges and get anywhere.

I've had a background check before and they made me fingerprint to see if I have anyone criminal background

LOL...they don't take fingerprints for things like theft (unless it's something huge, like major jewels or a bank robbery). She's full of shit and you should tell her so. Then never speak to her again, sounds like a 'friend' you don't need around.

Not to mention, fingerprint comparison is a science. They don't just fingerprint shit for fun. It takes a specially trained person to be able to match up prints.....and that's not a "free service" offered by the police for any and everyday stuff.

I think shes full of crap! How did they get your fingerprints? and I dont think she would be texting you to tell you that she went to the cops to have it fingerprinted? Tell her to go ahead and file a report. If you really didn't do it (and youre the only one that knows) then dont worry about it. If she is your friend and accusing you of stealing from her...maybe you don't need a friend like that?
