Bee Phobia?

I was just wondering if anyone else has a phobia of bees and wasps? I have always been absolutely petrified of them. There is one in my room right now and I am freaking out! I can't kill them because I can't get close to them. I start shaking and hyperventilating...It's like when I see a bee I lose all rational thought..The only thing in my mind is "Run." Sorry if this was a poinless post..I guess I'm just wondering if anyone is as afraid of bees as I am lol

I run around and screech like a freakin idiot when I see a bee..

I feel silly afterwards... but they scare the crap out of me

I really scared of them too, but I'm allergic. One sting and I'm in the hospital not breathing.

I have a severe fear of them. I can't put it into words.


My family had a wonderful family friend who was killed after being stung after running over a bee hive while mowing his lawn. He never had any allergic reactions before -- but he passed away. This was when I was around 5, and from that day I've been horrified. I can't watch them on TV either, I will start to cry.

Ive never been stung before, andI act like a fewakin 2 year old when I see them. Screaming around flailing my hands and running, all the while my 7 year old laughs at me.

Girl i ALWAYS run! LOL! I have NEVER been stung and i don't EVER want to be!

I HATE EVERY BUG! Bees-ladybugs lol

I have absolutely no idea why I'm so afraid of them. It is purely animal instinct...It's like when I see a bee it's not even an option for me to "just sit still" like everyone says to do. I just run. I have to. I am soooo scared and jumpy right now about the wasp lost in my roon even though the door is shut and I'm sure it can't get out of there. I hope my husband gets home soon so he can kill it

Wasp stings are way worse than bee stings.

They're actually not that painful.

Childbirth is way worse than a bee sting, and all you get is a little swelling w/ a bee sting or a wasp sting, with childbirth you get pain and swelling for the rest of your life.

Also spray it w/ hair spray so it'll stop flying.

Yeah bees and wasps are all the same in my mind. The reason I know it's a phobia and a totally irrational fear is because I would still be just as scared of them if they didn't have stingers...I can't even look at them when they're dead. And I've been stung before..By bees and wasps and I know it doesn't even hurt that bad. But it still doesn't matter because I am scared to death of them...It's nuts.

Lol we have wasp spray! I just can't do it. I can't open that door. It is so weird that I am this afraid of a little wasp! If it were a freaking bear in my room I'd be fine...Anything but a bee or a wasp lol

Last year when Hurrican Ike was around, was it last year or the year before last?

Any way, we got the winds from Ike, and it knocked our power out for three days, apparently it knocked down a tree w/ a beehive in it, and the bees were freaking out.

I killed one in my house, with spider spray, we had to keep the door open or it would get crazy hot in the apartment.

That night I was lighting a lamp, and was looking for the matches, stepped on a damn bee in my own living room.

Little fucker!

The one place you're supposed to have a no-shoe-sanctuary!
