ocd?

My daughter is a hand washing machine! she will say she has to go potty just so she can wash her hands. proablly every 20- 30 minutes. she doesnt play in the water, either. she soaps, lathers, turns on the water, rinses and then is done. she does it all day long. is this normal toddler behavior?? i thought they usually varied to the other side of liking dirt. thanks ladies

it sounds normal plus she is way to young to have ocd. The kids at my work love doing that. I think it just a stage they go through

it wouldnt have even crossed my mind but my FIL had ocd to the point of its hard to be around him... i hope its just a phase, or that its only handwashing.

ocd is usually triggered by something that happened in their life. For example a tragedy could of triggered it. Atleast that what a teacher told me before.

she's not too young, Jake was evaluated and he is mildly obssessive. He's younger than her. it's nothing that requires medication or even therapy, I just have to shake his world up from time to time and teach him that certain things are okay if they're not in his routine. If I keep doing that, he will grow out of it I'm sure.
