If you concieved on Ovulation day..

What sex was your baby? I hear a lot on here that if you concieve when you know you're ovulating, you'll probably have a boy. If you concieve a few days before ovulation, you'll probably have a girl. I just want to see if it's true lol

I've never heard of that one. I know I conceived on my last Ovulation day and I'm having a girl...but I don't know. That's a good question.

Shettles Method has worked correctly for me twice.

I had sex on cd 13 and 14 and O'd (early for me) on cd 14 and I'm having a boy....as expected.

I concieved when I ovulated and its a boy.

What do you mean by last ovulation day?

I conceived the day after I supposidly ovulated .. but I have no gender to show for it just yet .. I have been curious if this was true too !

The day before I was supposed to start. Counting days down to know what days I was fertile was what helped me.

The day before you were suppose to start what? Your period? Your fertile window?

Your fertile "window" and ovulation day are not the same thing. Sperm can live for several days waiting for the egg to be released....thus the fertile "window" (which is what an OPK or "counting" days is looking for). You only ovulate once. OP is talking about having sex on the actual day you o'd, not before. In order to know exactly when you o'd then you have needed to have been charting bbt or using a fertility monitor, etc. It's not something you can know simply by counting cycle days.

Well apparently I conceived two days after ovulation and it's a girl.. Hmmm

OPK will NOT tell you that you ovulated. They can tell you that you are experiencing an LH surge that can be detected as much as 72 hours in advance of ovulation. Just because your body "gears up" to ovulate, doesn't mean it will. The method that you are referring to for gender selection is much more precise than that 72 hour window....so using OPK's as opposed to charting to confirm the exact day of ovulation is not going to work in this case.

Lol well i suppose an OPK could help if you see the positive then have sex the next day. It wont work for me because we BD to early in advance.
