navel piercing & stretch marks?

I've had my navel pierced for a couple years now and when I got pregnant the doctor told me to leave it in until it started getting uncomfortable. I left it in for a long time until I decided I wanted it to grow up, so I took it out. It never closed, and it was ugly so I put the ring back in. Now that I'm 34 weeks I've noticed stretch marks all around where the piercing is (I took the ring out again about a month ago)! I haven't gotten really big and I don't have many stretch marks anywhere besides around the piercing. Did anyone have this problem?

I didn't get very big at all, and my BB is ugly and stretchie now.

I dont have my belly button pierced but I know they make maternity belly button rings. Maybe that would help?

I kept my ring in probably until 7.5 months...It got itchy thats why I took it out, and I have stretchies, just not around my piercing. I also gained 62 lbs while pregnant.

i have no stretchmarks anywhere else but on the skin where the piercing goes i am noticing the beginning of 1 little stretchmark   nooooooooooo!

my hole is a bit different looking then it use to look, butI didn't get streachies that high up. Then again my belly button never poped either. I thinkI took it out around 36 weeks when it really started to hurt from the pressure,I put it back in the day after my boy was born.

I got huge and covered in stretchmarks, except where my piercing is. I left it in my whole pregnancy and labor and it still looks fine. The rest of my belly is ruined though.

I took mine out at around 18 weeks. &I still got one single strechmark above it. I made it out with just that one, though! I got lucky!

My belly button hasn't popped either... it's just kind of non existent haha.

i think its because the skin is thinner there

funny, I just today noticed my very first stretch mark on the skin right below the hole where my peircing was. I kept my belly ring in until about 23 weeks when it started getting snagged on everything. I noticed the hole has been red for a couple weeks and just today I noticed there is a little teeny bright red stretchy there now. Its soooo small and I am really hoping it doesn't get bigger..I still have 9 weeks left!!! Hoping that's my one and only stretchy I get. LOL

I agree with Pearly (BBM)...I think it's cuz the skin is so thin right there so it makes that little area more prone

Kinda what mine looks like right now...that's nothin! Hopefully I can be as lucky as you! When did you notice the stretchmark/how many weeks were you?
