I know it may not have been directed at me, but get involved with the Big Sister program or volunteer at a family shelter they can always use people to help the kids with their school work.

There are lots of ways you can help kids in need...

do you think you could actually adopt?
if your feeling that way it might be better to wait, and speaktruth2power has some pretty good suggestions. maybe you can look into being a mentor or something along those lines to a specific child so you can get to know them and work with them and stuff.
is there any specific reason you want to foster and not adopt?
i mean, both are really awesome of people to do, but if you dont think you can handle having them leave adoption would probably be better
