Foster Parents..

Hi! I was hoping to meet some foster parents. Me and my husband are almost done getting our license to become foster parents and then will have placements..only one child to begin with.
Im hoping to meet some other moms/families that foster so I can steal advice etc haha.
We can exchange emails and start a little group or chat in here as well.
Ill be bumping it up so everyone will see

My husband and his brother were in foster care, and the multiple parents they had treated them like shit. His brother, who has autism, is still in foster care, and they keep him locked up in his room about 85% of the day.

Yeah that's so sad! Ive heard so many horror stories...thats part of the reason we wanted to join to be positive influences in the system.

thats horrible....we did it to get one of my friends out of the fostercare system.... my mom was going to take all the fostercare money and put it in savings and give it to her when she graduated...but we ended up getting custody instead

Yeah we are super excited. We hope to get a kid pretty soon after we finish. I hope you guys get stable enough soon so you can!
