re: Abortion: When you want it but he doesn't

Just wanted to throw an update up.

She went it at 9:15 yesterday morning. They did do an ultrasound, but she didn't get to see it. She got a surgical abortion and she said that she kept her hand on her lower belly the whole time and felt the suction. She also said she made the right choice and doesn't regret it. I hope it stays that way.

My husbands reaction to me telling him, and we were TTC, was "Im still going to the gym" LOL I was like ummm okay..lol (My hubby is/was obsessed with fitness, etc. He has lightened up since Jasons been here bc he wants to see him all the time)

OMG!! i just read this and about cried bc i'm in this same situation I am pregnant and My ex just broke up with me bc i refuse to abort it ust bc he dnt want it. Do u think he's gonna come around?? i am so upset abt the whole situation!!!

He might. He also might now. Depends on the guy. Robert came back around, but not until 2 months before my due date. I did essentially my whole pregnancy on my own. He came back around, was super excited for Silas, and was an awesome guy, but now Silas is almost a year old and Robert's gone again. I made him leave this time but he just can't get his shit together. Honestly, I know you don't want to believe it but you're way better off not being with a guy like that.

He might. Jesse did. We were together for over 2 years before we got pregnant. A baby wasn't in his plan yet. He still lived with his mom rent free, was in his last semester of college, unemployed and wasn't ready to buckle a down and grow up. A baby meant he'd have to get a job and move out of his mommy's house. Boo hoo, poor him. You can even go back into my other posts and I have one in there about all the crazy shit he said to me to get me to abort. He finally came around after we found out the sex. It took time. A lot of guys react like that as shitty as it sounds. Remember, you're a woman - when you find out youre pregnant you usually have a few days to cope with the possibility: maybe you're a fews days/weeks late for your period and that made you take a test, or you just feel different, or you know you had unprotected sex and want to be safe. Your boyfriend will never walk up to you out of the blue and tell you you're pregnant - no one will. When a guy finds out it's usually out of nowhere and not something he had time to think about...and his initial reaction has to be in front of a hormonal pregnant woman.....does that make sense?

i agree. my boyfriend wanted me to get an abortion (and i did) before i was even really sure about the whole situation. it was all over as soon as it began. i found out on august 3rd and had my procedure august 14th... and to this day i regret it. so i agree, women shouldnt get an abortion just because the bf wants her to. its the woman's body, therefore, her choice. simple as that.
