My Neighbors attacked my friends!

For no reason other than they are idiots when they're drunk.
Hubby and I decided to throw our first BBQ at home since we'll be moving soon, and invited a few friends over (*Mike, Will and his wife, and two other friends*). Well, my neighbor decides that's the night she wants to be a drunk idiot with her boyfriend and a friend, so they start taking shots out of a beer bong with my neighbors across the street... all of them in front of their kids! Well, they stopped when an MP told them they couldn't be out front, so that’s when the trouble began.
Our friend mike walked outside to smoke a cig. and make a call, and the short guy (the friend) walked over and started asking him strange questions. He answered a few and then walked back inside. Later, the short guy came knocking at the door and asked for mike. He wanted to use mike's phone to call his own because someone had his. We knew they were just trying to get Mike's number since my neighbor and her boyfriend have phones of their own he could use. And he specifically asked for Mike's, when he could have just asked for a phone. We didn't want to have problems, so my hubby says "Yeah, what's your number and I'll call it". He tells it to him, but my hubby dials with *67 so it came up blocked. No one answers. He leaves.
20 Minutes later, he walks to our back yard, where we're all at, and starts asking for a ciggy. Everyone says they're out, or didn't smoke, which was true. He kept saying "I’m gonna stand here till you give me one, I know you have 'em", but everyone just ignores him and he walks back to their yard. That's when the woman and her boyfriend start egging him on. She starts climbing on things and lifting her top, they start yelling mean things to Mike, so we decide to move inside. Mike decides to leave early because he's starting to get upset, thank God he did.
An hour later, everyone is ready to leave, so we walk them outside and they're outside waiting, one with a spear gun! Everyone just acts like they don't see them and walk to their cars. The little guy can't find Mike, so he starts yelling racial remarks to our friend Will. Will keeps walking, so the bigger guy gets mad, walks up to him and grabs him by the shirt. All I hear is Will yelling over and over "Let go of my shirt". Will's wife runs in and asks me to call the cops. I do. I walk out there and Will is keeping his cool and keeping his arms in the air like "I'm not gonna hit you" (but you can tell he wanted to).
Eventually the guy lets go when his girlfriend tells him to let go. The small drunk idiot decides he's gonna move his car so that everyone can get out (even though no one was even parked near him). Everyone says "oh it's okay, we're parked over here, don't worry about moving it, besides, you've drank, you won't want to mess up your new car". She starts yelling "he's the sober one, I'm the drunkest one here". Then jumps in the car and speeds off down the street.
Everyone decides they're gonna just go, Will is already in his car, and both guys rush up and start hitting him. So everyone runs up and starts pulling them off of him. The big guy grabs one of the girls and slams her to the ground, and falls on top of her, so my hubby grabs him and pins him on the floor, now both guys are pinned.
The MP's show up a few mins later, then an fire truck, then ambulance, then more and more MP's. They separated everyone except them three, asked questions, and finally determined that they were in the wrong, so they arrested them. We were up until 4 with MP's and investigators, signing statements, taking pictures, etc.
All in all, everyone is fine, a few scratches, bumped heads. The guy that slammed the girl on the ground ended up with a broken or almost broken nose.
I thought living on base was safer than living off, but this never happened to us off base. AND with all the yelling, fighting, etc. NO ONE called the MP's except for us, or bothered to help! Now I know not to even bother yelling for help if I'm in trouble!
AND to top it off, when I called 911, the woman hung up on me! She kept asking me "how many people are there?" and I was panicking so I said "about 7, I think". So she yelled at me "I'm not sending anyone until I know exactly how many people there are ". I yelled back "If I knew, I'd tell you, but I can't tell, they're all on the floor fighting. Do you want me to ask them to stop so I can take a head count? Fine, there's 7." So she hung up. I know I shouldn't have given her attitude, and it's a safety issue for the cops, but geez!
But guess what? I won the "Most memorable BBQ" title! I throw the best BBQ's Ever!

Sorry I didn't reply, my daughter got really colicky 10 mins after I posted.
lightfey- next time I have a BBQ I'm gonna invite you ladies from here, I'm sure you all would have made the situation a lot more entertaining lol.
msplainjane- up until that night, I thought military housing was like those movies of the safe suburbs where everyone left their doors unlocked and their kids run around after dark. Now that this happened, I hear people saying it's safer to live off base. Oh well, everyone's alright, and we're moving soon. Now I have a story to tell.
futuremummy07- haha! That's so funny because that was my first thought when we first moved in, just by the way they keep their yard, BUT, she's apparently a hard core gangsta! She kept yelling... "I roll with the crips!"
trilla_marion- I know what you mean about annoying neighbors, but ironically, my only problem with them (other than them being messy people, and leaving garbage in the front) was that they would get annoyed that we wouldn't drink with them (I’m not a drinker, plus I was pregnant). And that I wouldn't hang out with them when we first moved in (because I had morning sickness)..... but now, I'm glad I didn't get the chance. Funny how things work out
