Im Freaking OUT!!

I want to tell my parents im pregnant!...
But im just so SCARED...TRUELY SCARED at how they are going to react...
I know its not going to be easy for them...considering im only 17...
But i want to get it over with...They need to know...
its going to be worst if they find out some other way!...
My Dad can be pretty...violent..
What if he wants me to have an abortion???
I caint take it...i dont even know how to start in telling them!!
I NEED ADVICE...

I just told my mom, and I texted my dad and told him.   You could write them a letter or something, I know alot of people who did that.

Wow. Well, have you seen a doctor at least? Because thats very very important, to get your prenatal care and vitamins and so you and your baby can be off to a healthy start. Also, its quite understandable for you to be scared and worried and nervous about what your family's reactis might be, but whatever they are they will eventually get over it, like many of our parents have, and you may lso find tha tat first people may say things to you that they dont mean, like hurtful things or they may say things you dont agree with bt thats becasue when you are in the hea of things you tend to say a lot of things ou dont mean. I think they will cool off if given time aftrwards. they may not be as unreasonable or mean as you might think. My mom surprised me, she wasnt mad at all, just give them a chance to understand and trey to help you, I hope it works out for you. When do you turn 18, becasue they cant force you to do anything, ayou cant be made to get an aobrtion and the worse they could do is kci kyou out i guess, so do you have somewhere to stay, do the boyfriends parents know? are you guy still together, is he wiling to support you guys??? if you are really worried that your father might get violent or try to abuse you i woulnt tell him directly to hiw face, or maybe in a public place so you can be safe. maybe you could write them a letter and stay the night qat a good friends house until they calm down??

Wait until you can't get an abortion anymore to tell them. If your dad is violent you should have someone with you so you don't get hurt. You cab buy prenatal vitamins in a store. You should still try to see a doctor if you can. Maybe go to a free clinic or something.

Well no matter what your dad cant make you have an abortion because its your chose ...the day you became pregnant is the day the doctors take you as an adult until you give birth unless you turn 18 before then..and don't be scared to tell your parents....since your already pregnant it will be stupid if your dad leaves a hand on you..he will go to jail..just sit down and tell them..there will be a sup rise coming in 9 months..or just right a letter..what ever you feel comfortable doing..

Writing a letter may sound like a good idea but it could make you look less mature to them;

I agree with having someone else there though.
I worried about my dad hitting my bf and my mom stood in between us when we told him and all he said was "I Know."

i agree...he can't hit u.he'd locked up..the worse he could do is yell..but don't forget ur his daughter and he loves u..he won't be mad for long.but good luck

umm i am totally no help at all because i am a whoppping 17 weeks pregnant and 19 years old and have STILL not told my parents im pregnant!! very scared of them being terribly dissapointed in me, ive decided im going to tell them in 2 weeks when i go to have my next ultra sound im gonna send them a letter with the babys picture in it... lol u could try it too (without the pic obviously)..... just like leave it somewhere where they will find it, and then go to your friends house for the weekend or somthing to give them sometime to think about it

i would say just be upfront and tell them.
i know my mom would be more pissed if i waited to tell her. maybe take someone with you if you don't feel comfortable. Good Luck && everyone is right, your parents CANNOT make you get an abortion.

You have to tell them. The sooner you tell them, the easier it is, trust me
I told my dad 2 days after I found out. He was dissapointed, he didn't yell or anything. He's still dissapointed about it but he's getting over it and trying to get excited.

I'm 19 and take care of myself and my own bills, so I don't know about your situation or how yours will react but the best thing to do is to tell them ASAP.
Write a letter if you have to....I did.
