Vaginal Delivery- advice please!!

I am about 32 weeks pregnant and am determined to have a vaginal delivery. I own a business so I basically am not able to take maternity leave and I know the recovery time is shorter for a vaginal delivery compared to a C-section. I know sometimes there is no way around a C-section, but does anyone have advice to prepare me for a vaginal labor? Anything you've heard that affects your chances of having a vaginal delivery or a C-section?

An epi can slow down labor if you get it too early and you wind up with a csection.

Avoid induction then cuz that increases the chances of a c-sec.

I've heard most inductions end in c-sections, which is why i never wanted or want to be induced. I had a vaginal delivery with no epidural.

Not sure if this is true and in my case it was not, but being induced when you are not favorable can increase your chances for a C-section. Like I said don't quote me though, I just recall hearing that, but can't remember where.

I was induced, but was very favorable, I was 3 almost 4 cm so my labor went quickly. Good Luck I hope you get the vaginal delivery you want!!

I was induced due to pre e and still had Vaginal delivery....it really depends on a lot of factors

I thought I was having a vaginal delivery up until yesterday, my baby turned breech at 39 weeks so now i'll be having a c-section.

I learned that an epidural increases the chances and always thought I'd get one, but now I'm second guessing myself. I never knew about being induced. But isn't that something the doctor decides for you (whether to induce you or not), or is that something I have a say about?

You have a say in it.
If you want to go without an epi, do it! I had an epidural free 72 hour labor and pushed for 1 hour also without one! It can be done!

usually the doctor decides, but you CAN deny one if you want. i was induced, had an epi at 4 cm and i had my daughter in 12 hours from beginning of the induction to the end...everyone is different. a csection won't be the worst thing in the world if it brings a happy healthy baby
