Would you do this? Advice appreciated

posted 21st Jul
Well Jackson co-slept with me up until a month ago and he has been sleeping in his pack n play in my room. Well lately when I get up to pee or something he wakes right up and is hard to get him back to sleep. He has slept through the night since 8 weeks and he normally gets up at 8 am but lately its been 6 am and its wearing on me. So my question is he is 10mths will be 11mths on August 9th. Would you put him in his own room in his crib w/o a baby monitor? I gave mine to a friend b/c I figured he was sleeping with me anyway. I am scared but my boyfriend thinks he will be just fine. Our rooms are pretty close, I guess I am just scared. What would you mommas do b/c I really think I am screwing up his sleep. Plus our home phone starts ringing very early and its in my room so that bothers him too. He has been soo cranky during the day due to his waking all night b/c of me making noises plus he is teething. I just would like some advice. I feel like a bad mom putting him in his own room w/o the monitor.

My son has been in his own room without a monitor since he was 7 months. Unless the room is very far away you hear everything. Of course we don't close bedroom doors in my house so maybe you are different.

Good luck. I think you will both sleep better. I'd expect some crying as he adjusts to a new room ... but maybe not.
