tubes tied

can you get your tube tied without your SO knowing about it? The other night me and my hubby were laying in bed talking about when Alonso older and I told him I want 1 more baby and he like no we're gonna have 6. He's not the one who has to carry them so anyways he dreaming. first we're so tight on money and my parents were the same when I was growning up and I know the more kids you have the harder it is. I want to be able to give thingsto my kids and not worry about being able to pay the rent.and 2nd me and the DH are always fighting cause he only wants to play with Alonso and I have to do everthing elas. Anyways I was just thinking can you get your tubes tied and not tell him then he could try all he wants we would only have 2 kids. Not saying that I would do it but it was just a thought.

no, you can't and to do so is a shame. What kinda relationship goes behind each others back to make life altering choices?

I'd say its your body, its up to you. If your not married, you probably can. But if your married it might be different, im not sure.

most states require you to be 25 or 3 kids and spousal consent

You can but I wouldn't suggest it. I think that it would be wrong of you to. I don't think you should continue having babies if you do not want them but you need to at least discuss your want to tie your tubes.

I wouldn't suggest it even if you can. You should just tell him that you don't want any more than 2 kids, end of story! He can't make you have anymore if you don't want them.

Yep. When I was thinking of getting my tubes tied, my husband had to sign the paper as well.
I don't know if it's different if you aren't married though...

I wouldn't do it but I just though it while he was going on about I should have as many kids as he wants and I was thinking in my head that I could ( if I wanted to ) get tied and he wouldn't know any better.

well thats pretty malicious to think in your head instead of discussing why you only want 2 or so kids. Grow up and communicate.

If you are not married then its probably up too you..but I would strongly suggest you dont make decisions for both of you unless you want all heck to break loose later..there is no way that would stay secret. My father in law ran out and had a vasectomy when he found out his wife was pregnant with there third child..she still feels burned over that 30 yrs later.
