posted 20th Jul
I'm wondering if you any of you have sleep paralysis. I hope i'm not the only one out there with it and experience the horror of it .

Sleep paralysis: A frightening form of paralysis that occurs when a person suddenly finds himself or herself unable to move for a few minutes, most often upon falling asleep or waking up. Sleep paralysis is due to an ill-timed disconnection between the brain and the body.

That is scary. I'm sorry you deal with that
Does it happen often or rarely?

It happens to me, it scares the crap out of me when it happens. I somehow try to get myself to wake up, then I have trouble going back to sleep. I have not had it happen in a while.

Hmm

Can't it be deadly? I was thinking a mama on here was talking about it one other time.

No because you can still breath. You just can't move or talk. You're not really awake, and that's why you can't move. It's not actual paralysis, it's a sleep disorder that MANY people surprisingly have.
