Sippy Cups - how?

posted 16th Jul
How did you all get your LO to drink out of one? My son is just about 7 months old.I give him some diluted juics in a sippy cup and he doesn't know what to do with it so he just trows it or pushes it out of his sight, lol. I have the hard spout ones by Platex. He's breastfed but also gets bottles of BM at daycare if that helps.

You can get them at walmart for like 1.50 a piece

The munchkin sippys are the only ones Addison will drink out of because of it's soft nipple. Addison will hold hers every once in awhile, but hasn't figured out how to tip it lol

I got the same kind of sippy cup as shown in the pic .... Mia wanted nothing to do with it. One day I wanted to see what she would do with a straw and I found out that whats she likes ... we've skipped sippy cups and just use the cups with straws for kids

I use the soft tip ones from Gerber. I introduced them to my daughter at 4 months and suprisingly she took right to them. They are now the only thing she drinks out of.

It should work. Seems like most babies prefer soft nipples on sippys.

OK, I got the Nuby brand that has the silicone spout for easy nipple to sippie transition (and he loved it) but now all of the sudden nothing comes out of the spout! I sucked on it too and can't get anything to come out. I don't get it?

So then I bought the Playtex one that you showed in the OP and he won't take it at all. He just bites the spout

I'm going to buy a few brands and see what he likes, Nuby, Munchin, and Gerber.

I love the Nuby and so does James but seriously nothing comes out of the spout like it is clogged or something. I may make a post because I am that dumb founded over why nothing comes out of the spout?

Thats the one we have. I tried it first to see how it worked because it didnt have one of those things to regulate how fast the juice, water, or formula came out... they have to bite down on it and suck in order for it to come out. My daughter loves it so I havent messed with it lol. I am going to get her a few bigger ones soon though. She drinks about one and a half of those sippy cups per feeding.
