Low Placenta

I had the big ultrasound on tuesday to my excitment i am having a girl. The doctor also said that my placenta is close to my cervics, but she said its nuthing to worry but now my mother is telling me to do all this stuff to make th eplacenta grow and i tried to explain that its not small its low but she says thats the same thing, but i would think if my placenta was small that would be something to worry about. The doctor said that i should not worry because my uterus will grow so the placenta will move. i have to go back in 5 weeks just to check on it tho. Has this happened to anyone and does anyone have anyadvice. thanks ladies.

i've never had it happen before, but mine right now is slightly covering my cervix. its really not the same as it being small. sometimes it attaches low, but as your uterus grows its usually moves up.

if it stays to low, all thats gonna happen is they might tell you to take it a little eaiser, and you probably wont be able to deliver.. you might need a csection.

if you docotor says not to worry than dont... its only near your cervix.. be happy its not completely covering it. look up placenta previa (i think thats how it is spelled. it will tell you all teh types and what happens and stuff.
