How Long Do You Plan on Co-Sleeping?
How Long Do You Plan on Co-Sleeping?
posted 12th Jul
I proudly co-sleep with my 6 Month old little man, and see no end in sight! Before I had my little guy I was very ignorant and un-educated about co-sleeping and said I would NEVER do it! What a snap into reality when I decided nursing in bed was much easier, and more confortable. I haven't looked back and don't regret my decision at all.
Talking to my Husband the other day I asked him if he was still okay with Nicholas sleeping with us, and when he thought we should stop co-sleeping. He replied with "I like having him in bed with us for now. Maybe you should ask the girls on BG what the "norm" is!" <--- LOL
So here I am, getting advice from my Favorite BG Gals.
If your option isn't in the poll, please explain.
Thank you all!

we co sleeped only till about 4 months. she started kicking us and we have queen not a king so it wasnt too comfy. now shes in her crib right next to us. if we had a king she would probably still be with is. hubby tells me all the time he misses her. my mom co sleeps and my sister is already turning 7. i think thats way too long. imo.

I co sleep with my 4 month old....I LOVE sleeping with him, but I really do miss having the bed to myself. I am slowly but surely trying to get him to sleep in his own bed. Although I get up and check on him constantly when he's not sleeping with me. But it does put a damper in your sex life!!

Can I ask your reasoning? No judgement, just curious.

I don't think what we do is techinically co-sleeping, but my kids are allowed to sleep in out bed if it is after 5am, lol. My son is almost 2 and is sleeping through the night well past 5 am but there are times, especially when we travel, that he gets up at 5am or something and he comes in bed with us. DH doesn't like co-sleeping and i have to keep the kids on my side of the bed or he can't sleep. He is afraid of squishing them, then again he is 250lbs. My daughter co-sleeps ocassionally, I will keep her in bed with us after feeding her. BUT our official rule is not before 5am.

We don't co sleep. I tried it about 4 times when Addison was born, it's defintely not for us.

We co-slept for 2 months or so and I loved it. Now we just nap together, though I have brought my daughter to bed a few times if she just won't sleep on her own and I'm too tired to keep trying to get her to sleep or deal with her crying.
My uncle in law (?) was telling us that there is likely going to be a "Safe Sleep" campaign here in the next couple of years saying that there babies should only sleep in cribs with firm mattresses not in beds, not in playpens, etc (though I think there is more to the campaign). He himself co-slept with his children.

We arent co-sleeping with hazel anymore. She wasnt really waking up much at night, so I decided to try her in her bed one night, and she does wonderfully. (but you know this already)
Jude slept with us until about 2 months before hazy got here, so he was about 2 1/2.
I dont miss having babies in my bed though. I sleep so much better! and so does josh. we just got to the point where we dont sleep in a "v" shape anymore with our feet touching and our bodies apart, lol

Well i half co sleep meaning she initially sleeps in her crib but when she wakes for her feeding in the mid of night, i bring her to bed with me and them we fall asleep afterwards (its easier that way as you know) so i guess i will stop cosleeping when i stop breastfeeding, and i dont plan on doing that anytime soon so will c

I cosleep because there is no man in my bed.
lol
If there was, there is no way the two would fit.
