going through hell!

This is my first pregnancy and I'm 18. Normally, morning sickness is supposed to subside after the first trimester right? I'm 18 wks and 1 day and I'm still getting severely sick and bad cramping. During my first trimester, I even went to the ER. I talked to my OBGYN and she said that I was fine. I can't get out of bed until late after noon without puking or passing out and it's hard to sleep at night because of the cramps and the sick feeling. The closest thing I could compare it to is a ridiculously terrible hangover! I was prescribed anti-nausea meds, but they made me more sick. My prenatals also make me sick, so I have to get all of my vitamins other ways. I've tried tons of suggestions and nothing seems to work. =[ has anyone else gotten this sick? and any suggestions? Thank youuu!

They say it should stop after the first trimester but sometimes it can continue throughout the pregnancy. Have you talked to your doctor about morning sickness pills that help make it easier to cope with morning sickness?

yeah, thats what i was prescribed, but it made me more sick, i also tried the b-natal lollipops! lol. I know my mom was really sick through her whole pregnancy with me, so maybe it's a family curse?

Try seabands, they sell them at drug stores for people who get sea sick. Apparently they help with morning sickness too.

Pregnancy is a finicky thing. I hope your doctor can find something that will help.

I was that sick. to the point if I even had a sip of water I would throw it up.
I had to go to the er twice. the first time they gave my pills they just made me more sick and then second time I got new pills that go in rectally but they actually helped alot and they gave me pills that dissolve right away. also try lemon and water. it didnt help me to much but i could surprisingly keep it down.

yea I was sick until 5 mos. prego.....Hopefully you wont have to go thru that..

I was sick every day all day up until 20 weeks. I was prescribed 3 diff medicines, which didn't work. I tried EVERYTHING.. some people just aren't lucky. hope it goes away soon!
