c-section...

In order, to get a c-section do you need a specific reason to get one ??

Why, Iam asking this question. is because Iam thinking I want to get a c-section, because I honestly do not think, I could go through a vag birth...

Is their anyone else who got a c-section, just because they wanted to ??

Most insurances wont cover an optional csection.

from what i understand and have heard, your doctor can get in big trouble for giving your a c section just bc you ''want'' one. and that you need a medical reason for having one

99.9% of the time, you can not have one unless it is medically necessary. Why would you want to go through major abdominal surgery if you dont have to?

I am going for a VBAC this time.

its harder to recover from a c section and the risk of infection is higher, i had 2 infections with my c section and it sucked, they wouldn't let me in teh nicu to see my son while i had my infections so it was a week and a half that i had to be away from him after he was born

when i first got preg and even b4 i got preg i said i wanted a c-section because i thought i wasnt strong enough to take the pain and plus i hve back problems but after hearing a few c-section stories and talking to my dr. i quickly changed my mind because i want to remember whats going on and be able to see my baby coming out.....im sure you will be ok momma just think positive

My scar reopened a week after my surgery. I had to stuff it with packing guaze hurt like HELL.

they opened mine with a oversized q tip and let it heal, now its all bumpy and nasty, not to mention my uterus still itches sometimes and i can't scratch it lol, i want a vback when i have anotehr baby because i dialated and everything but he was sideways and they wouldn't turn him because he was only 32 weeks, goodluck and lemme know how it goes!

lol you can always get an epidural. i had a spinal after i got to 10 (before my section) and itw as a dream, but i wasnt in that much pain, till he started coming out shoulder first

if you don't mind me asking, why did you get a c section? and what kinda scar did you have? and even tho it had to be re opened they are gonna let you try?..thats myfear of gettin an infection again

Its not worth it.
Then after the csection you feel like you missed out on a "normal" birth. At least go in with the mindset that you are going to have a vaginal birth, obviously if you need a csection you will have one. But dont go in hoping for one.
