I would look into getting a new RE! I loved my doctor and you should be fully in control of what happens!

I think thats the best option. I'm pissed that we had no idea what was planned. We ask all the time but nobody gives us an answer. As soon as they found out SO's insurance would not cover anything fertility related they decided to do IUI.

Wow, yes, sounds like you should look into getting a different RE! If you're not happy and they're not communicating well, say goodbye! There is a good RE out there for you.....maybe you just have to look around a little bit. Get some references from friends.

I wouldn't trust him at all.If you loved closer than Chicago I would have a great RE to recommend..IUI has the highest amount of multiples.

I have an HMO insurance and it was a pain in the ass for them to cover the doctor I'm seeing now. I have the option of going to another fertility center, I have to get all the information on changing RE's.

For a while I just thought I was judging the doctor too harshly, and maybe he's not that bad.. I should have just never second guessed myself.

Now I have to start this whole process over, making TTC longer! I am going to look into the other place today.

I know, right away I thought of Jon and Kate how they had 6. My RE first told me no to Clomid because of the risk of multiples, he wanted me to try Metformin for a while.

I had problems with my OBGYN, but things have gotten better. I gave them one last shot to make me happy and they did. So, I got lucky. If anything comes up though, I gathered references from friends. I'm prepared to switch if I feel like I need to. Hopefully it won't come to that.

Definitely look for a new doctor. My OB/GYN always tells me all the details, and then asks me if that's what I want to do. A doctor is supposed to care about the patients first. He is not doing that, and you should tell him so, and tell him that you are looking for a doctor that will.

The jump right to IUI could just be so unnecessary and more expensive!

SO is so pissed. My RE said that SO's count wasn't that low that we'd need IUI. I want to know what changed.

My SO does not want the IUI done unless we have to, he wants to try Clomid and everything else first.

I know. I'm still very young we have other treatment options. I don't feel right getting the IUI done. SO just called, he's calling the doctor when he gets off. We know the risk of twins is high when doing fertility treatments but anything more then twins is something we cannot handle. The nurse and u/s tech kept talking about how I have tons of follicles and how its such a good thing.

I have no idea how much the trigger shot, progesterone suppositories and IUI is. I have no idea if my insurance will cover it or part of it. I really want to get all that information before I do IUI.

Well I will say the shots do not hurt.When we were still considering IUI the doctor said if I had more than 3 follicles my husband wasn't allowed to touch me.I just don't trust this guy.

More then 3? I really need to look into all this. I'm getting scared that I'll end up like octomom now.

I don't trust this doctor anymore. I just want to do Clomid or Femara.
