That sux. I would go somewhere else. You should feel like you are in control of your options and they shoulod be explaining things to you in a way you understand. I would also look into reporting this RE as it looks like he convinced you to sign something you didn't really want to.
It is too bad that instead of really helping you to move forward, they are causing setbacks. That would make me think they just want to keep your 'business.'

Yes,if I had more than 3 follicles each one could release an egg and each one could be fertilized,resulting in higher order multiples.Clomid should be the first step.We tried it after my Laparoscopy for Endo and although it caused cyts on me that is not a common side effect.Twins are great!

I'm going to tell him that I don't feel right doing the shot and a IUI at this point. I tried Clomid 50mg way back in 07, it did nothing but it was only 50mg.

My tubes are clear, no cysts, my hormone levels are getting in the normal range now.

It wouldn't hurt to try it again.I developed the cysts on 50 but not common.You tell him what you want.This is too big of a decision for someone else to decide.He is only worried about success rates!

I have a question. The HCG shot is suppose to stimulate the ovaries to produce and release eggs. I was just told I have tons of follicles so why would I need it?

If you do the IUI you do the HCG 36 hours before the procedure.The HCG tells your body to ovulate!

could the iui be because of the low sperm count? to me it makes since for you 2 to do it that way you know that the sperm is where it needs to be. i wish your re was more better with how they do things, but since i've been following you're cycles for the past 2 years[lol, bestfriend,lol,not stalker,haha], i'd say you guys should consider it.

i'm only 20 and have a history of twins, but only got 1 with the clomid, so it's not a for sure thing. i know you don't want twins, but maybe with your history, even if it started as twins there's always a chance you'll end up with just 1, ya know.[not meaning for that to sound bad]

it seems like the best odds for you to get pregnant. i'm cheering for you either way.

You should just take the Femara like you have and find a new RE. Sounds like a wacko!

i may be way off...but i would totally do the iui...especially since your so has a low sperm count. you will have the best chance with an iui...and FYI - most insurances DO NOT COVER infertility...so i dont see this as an unreasonable way to try and get pregnant.

Haha STALKER! J/K. I think his count might be the reason its under 20 million. His estrogen/testosterone ratio is off, they gave him Femara to help it.

We're doing tons of research on IUI. After looking at my hormone levels I need it. The RE sucks but I'll just do this cycle. We called to see how much out of pocket the IUI will be, she said my insurance should cover 100% of it.

I'm worried about doing the trigger shot. SO has to do it for me. Then I have to start the progesterone suppositories.

I have over 10 Follicles on each ovary <10mm. Endo Thickness-3.27

The trigger shot is not bad.I hope this cycle works for you.We didn't have male IF so this may be the best for you.The progesterone suppositories don't hurt like the PIO but wear a pad it is kinda gross.Baby dust!!!!!!

I really looked into SO's count and IUI vs Clomid, it seems like IUI is the best choice.

We're still unhappy with the RE and not being talked to about this but you gotta do what you gotta do. SO called and raised hell.
