knot in boob

im 18 and i have 2 kids. for the last 3 weeks my boobs have been extremly sore. too sore to even touch. so last nite they were the worst ever it hurt all the way under my armpit into my back. so i started feelin them to see if there was a certain spot that was sore n i found a knot. its about nickel sized. i dont have any health insurance n my mom said that it could be from being pregnant. my daughter is 5 months so i dont think it is. im real freaked out about it. has this happened to anyone or does anyone know what it could b?? thanks

You could always google a free nurse line, or go to the ER and just make a payment plan.

i had it when i was pregnant...it was milk trapped in a sac...mines still going away and my son is 4 months...but id still go to the doctor if possible just to make sure!

If you are freaking about breast cancer a little consolation is that it typically is not painful. thats sounds more like an abcess maybe?

Have you ever been told anything about Fibrocystic breasts? I was told I have it. Basically I get what feels like knots (the cysts) and they tend to swell up before my period, and they can be pretty painful. Either way if you're really worried I agree that you should get them checked out. If anything go to the health department.. If they're like the ones here they will go by your income as for what you will have to pay...

An infection that is enclosed. So you could have an infection in a milk duct but you can't SEE the infection but it would efinitely be painful. Is there any redness or purple bruise looking areas?
