Stabbing pain

Okay,so at my last doctor's appointment I was told that the baby had dropped. And for the past few hours I've been getting this stabbing pain in my vag area. It feels like when it happens my baby moves like he doesn't like it. Has anyone else had this problem?

its called lightening and it normal ill

it happenes with in a few weeks before the onset of labor. Hope this helps i got it out of my medical book.

Thanks, I was wondering if that was what it was...I just didn't know if it was supposed to be painful.
