Gavin Michael Cecil Lawrence was born on 6/21/09 (Fathers Day) The doctors believed that he would not make it passed 4 months inside his mothers womb, but he did. Then doctors believed he wouldn't make it 48 hours outside the womb, but he did that too! Some of the current hospital staff were willing to right him off as a lost cause (i.e doctors and nurses) I as well as the family have to refused to give up hope for Gavin as he has refused to give up on us. However, Gavin does have minor complications with his brain, heart, and esophogus wich could cause him to pass away if not treated. Gavin is currently under an Ohio medical card, but we have yet to find a doctor in Ohio willing to try to save him. We are looking out of state for help in his surgeries, however without insurance that will cover procedures out of state, this will become quite expensive. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to pay for Gavins health care and well being. All other monies will then be donated to The March of Dimes in Gavins name for children fighting to survive. Please keep Gavin Michael Cecil Lawrence in thought and prayer. Cleveland Clinic Hospital is one of the best in the country, and MetroHealth Medical Center as well! There is no way that between those two hospitals one wouldn't be able to do the surgery's necessary.
Both are in Cleveland and accept Medicaid, Metro is even a "city" hospital and will take anybody with a Dr. of any specialty there 24/7!

Have they created a caringbridge website? It helps to keep everyone up to date and informed. It is also completely free.
