Pregnancy jealousy in families..?

Is anyone in your circle of family/friends jealous because of the attention your getting from being pregnant?

I have 2 family members that are jealous of the attention Bryan and I are getting. The first one is my 26 y/o cousin. She already has a 4 year old daughter that she doesn't take care of whatsoever (she's too into drugs and men to care) but got pregnant 3 months after I did. Everyone knows in the family she just did it because I was taking her spotlight (what spotlight..?). She doesn't need another kid, she didn't want another kid until she went to my 1st u/s. Now my mom says she walks around, purposely sticking her belly out and saying how big she's getting. I wonder how much attention she'll try to get at MY baby shower..

2nd is my sis-in-law. Her bf (11 years her senior) proposed to her after only going out for 4 months. My bf's mom says it's because of the attention we're getting (even though she lives states away).

Why is there jealousy in families? I'm not even affected by all the attention I'm getting.

My own mother, unfortunately. She has five children & when she found I was pregnant...she all of a sudden needed to get pregnant. It wouldn't even be safe to be pregnant because of her age & she's just selfish. She's had this issue before when her best friend got pregnant & she got pregnant like a month later.

My sister got married or engaged when everyone found out I was pregnant

My family just laughed at me

I admit, I'm a little bit jealous of other people being pregnant when I'm not... but I'd never go out and purposely get pregnant just because someone else was. My jealousy is more of a strong rememberance and affection of that time in my life!...

No. I was sheepish to tell my family I was pregnant because... I expected my cousin to be upset with me. She was TTC a girl for a second child and she got a boy again. And I wasn't even TTC and I fell pregnant a month before her, literally and am having the first girl in our family in 19 years.
But she is extremely happy for me and happy to be having a new baby at all and we're bonding over it. I wish I still didn't feel guilty for stealing some of her thunder but I think it will be nice for our babies to be a month apart and be playmates.

My Sister got engaged 1 week before my wedding, I was pregnant at the time also. I think between me getting married and having a baby and my family being so happy for us, she felt like she just needed to do something. lol

Before I knew my cousin was pregnant too anyway, I seriously considered offering to let her adopt my baby. She has a 9 year old son and 4 miscarriages and had been trying to have a sibling for her son almost since she had him.

Yeah my sister in law is majorly jealous. She even went as far as to say she hoped I would have a girl because she wanted to have the first boy of the family.

Yep I have bunch of cousins that are jealous because I'm pregnant. LMAO it's funny to me because they act like I like all the attention I'm getting, I dont. My family gets very annoying when someone is pregnant.
