Babies in Phyiscal or Speech Therapy?

Any of you mamas have little ones in Speech Therapy or Physical Therapy?

My two youngest sisters are in speech therapy, as well as my nephew.

My sister's talk "funny," like they mispronounce letters and kind of slurr their words, it use to be really difficult to understand them. They've been in it for 3+ years, my 9 year old sister has no difficulty talking now and my 7 year old sister has drastically improved over the years but she's still in it. My nephew is 3 and before he started taking it, he couldn't talk at all. Although he's behind all the kids his age, he can now say basic words and some sentences. I would assume it's a slow process though, because all three of them have been in speech therapy for years.

What is the feeding therapy?

well, its still called speech therapy. they work on feeding.
my daughter has low muscle tone in her face, and keeps her tongue sticking out when shes relaxed, she used to not chew her food, she would swallow it whole. so, shes working on stimulating her muscles in her face to strengthen them.

My son does not chew his food either he threw up one day and had whole macaroni noodles in it at what age did you start her? I wonder if I should look into it

I would. Talk to his pedi...She wasnt chewing diced carrots. Was throwing them up whole and pooping them out that way also. Does you baby have issues with throwing up often?

We went to an evalution right around 9 months. But we were on a waiting list, for several months...so she didnt start until she was around 12 months..
