My best friend's daughter did pageants for 5yrs.. She was a natural cutey.. and had good sportsmanship.. She LOVED getting up on stage ! She clapped cheered for other kids whether she won or lost.

If she came home with nothing more than a piece of candy she was happy ! She didn't care about the trophy or banner's..

I think the pageants taught her alot of things..she went from pageants to FFA,cheerleading,dance,basketball.. She is now 9yrs old and not a shy kid at all  

I'm not a pageant mom myself..I can't bear to spend $600 on a dress the kid can't eat or drink in and it can't be washed..

i want to enter my daughter in pagents..but of course her daddy wont let her 

To rowan- ya those dresses are really cute but there's no way in hell I'd pay more than like 50-75 bucks for a dress! Lol
