posted 4th Jul
i have mine done and i haven't taken them out yet because i dont feel the need to, but for those of you who are or have breast fed with them what was it like? did you take them out for good or just whenever the baby needed to eat?

he said i didn't have to take them out before she got her unless they were irritating or ifi wanted to. but my boobs haven't ever been sore so i am just gonna leave them in until after she is born, but i have to take them out to feed her because they are a choking hazard.

Oh yeah, I am saying take them out when she is born, obv its a choking hazard, haha. I just wouldn't want to constantly take them out and put them back in after feedings.

i know! i just dont want them to close up =( and i dont think it would be so wise to put them back in after each feeding esp at night when i will be half asleep i wouldn't wanna forget that i had them in. that would be awful!

yeah that would suck. but you can always get them re done. you figure youll be breastfeeding for a while so that would really suck to take them out every time and put them back in, especially at first you figure you feed like every hour or so. im gonna get mine re done once im done breast feeding, im sure itll hurt more than the first time with the scar tissue, but oh well =P

With how often a newborn nurses it wasn't even worth it to me to go through the trouble of taking them out and putting them in all day long. I took them out when I was in my 3rd trimester. I've been breastfeeding for 9 months now, and I still have milk come out of the piercing holes, but I haven't tried to put them back in.
