I used it for a while and then it died on me. I went through three pumps until I found my Bailey's and I LOOOOVE it. I can get about 8 oz in each breastout in about 15 minutes. It was only about 130 & then they have an instant coupon for low income that saves you 50 so I got it really for about 85 and thats with shipping. It's a hospital grade safe for resale... which is great if breastfeeding isn't for you or whatever the case may be.

I personally haven't tried the medela but i haven't had any issues with the baileys. it's a double electric pump with a manual cycle. by manual cycling you can mimic the suction cycle of your little one, which will help with releasing your letdown faster and more efficient.

from the night i paid for it to the day i received it in the mail was only about 3 days... i was very pleased with my experience from the prompt shipping. it also comes with a 5 year warranty on the motor so if you ever have any issues they will replace it. i doubt that would happen though. i have dropped mine many times from waist level or higher.

and like i said it's about half the price of any of the other hospital grade pumps. they do a low income discount which will save you 50 bucks instantly. I swear by this pump. the only downfall, if any, would be the fact that you would have to replace the filter once every two - four months with each one costing about 3 bucks. but still that beats the price of ANY formula

lol don't even worry about pumping until about 6 weeks or so if at all possible. as soon as the peanut is born hook her right up to the buffet and let her have at it. it's really not as hard as every one says. as soon as carleigh was born she was looking around for something to eat. within 15 minutes of being born, she was eating like a champ. all the nurses were surprised because i hadn't even seen a LC. but like i said unless you have latching issues don't stress of it.

and if you can avoid pumping until at least a month you should have a good supply built up. then when you need to store a bit, pump as often as you can and just save whatever you pumped. say the first time you pump you were only able to get an oz out, just store that in the fridge... then an hour later you were able to get 2 oz, and add the two together and if you need to freeze it... then you should have at least one bottle. and that will begin the process. i have about a months worth of milk in my deep freezer =) you just have to be sure to pump if you ever away from the baby to keep your supply built.

it definitely takes dedication especially about 4 weeks into when the baby hits a growth spurt or if you're little one wanted to eat all the time. i was miserable for about a week. i was totally depressed, had issues with my stitches, carleigh was doing nothing but eating and on top of that i was exhausted. but you just have to remember you're doing the best thing you possibly can for you baby & focus on that only. that was my problem, i was too anxious about getting up and cleaning and cooking and etc. so i feel i brought that on to myself. but i hope everything works out for ya mama =) and congratulations on the little princess, they're so much fun! but also enjoy the last part of your pregnancy as it comes and goes very quickly and you will miss it.   as much as i hated being big and fat and swollen i still miss it! lol
