dont know what to do..

posted 4th Jul
so i was due two days ago, and have been having contractions a lot lately(but none that are super painful). they have been worse today than any before, i began timing them an hour ago, and they are coming at every 3 mins, but they arent painful (they feel like gas pains or cramps), and of course my stomach tightens up. so my questions is this actual signs of labor, i was gonna hold out another hour and see so i figured i would ask u all and see what yall say.
thanks for any input, its greatly appreciated =)

Go walking. That should increase the pain of the contractions. That is what the hospital had me do. They made me walk for an hour and then they admitted me.

mine were sorta like that....not too painful...started driving to the mall to walk around more and i felt sick to my stomach but not in SUPER pain...DH insisted i go in to L&D...so we went in and i was 5cm...i was 38 wks so they said walk around for an hour and if you make progress we'll admit you, but if not we'll send you home. so i walked the halls for an hour they checked again and i was at 7cm and i was admitted....soooo idk...you could be progressing.

every woman labors different.

ETA my contractions were never super painful

I would call L&D. Not all people have painful contractions.

it could be the first stage of labor and that can last days

IT definitely sounds like early labor.
But generally the best policy is to wait it out at home as much as possible to get the early labor out of the way. You will be much more comfy at home. Eat and drink, try to rest.
Then when they begin to get intense to the point you cannot speak or walk through them without needing to pause and breathe, you should go.

You'll know it when you need to go, more than likely!   Labor dust!!
