It was really hot here yestrday. Where I live we have horrible humidity!!
Well Noahs breathing was severly labored!! He had retraction when he was born, the nurses at the hospital were worried but his pediatrician not so much. well i called the pediatrics office yesterday and told them what was going on. they told me to bring him in in an hour. the pediatrician checked his oxygen and heart rate which were just fine. she finally concluded Noah is SEVERLY congested from being born c section. she gave me some salt water drops for his nose and lots of green mucus(ew i know!) came out. she told me to make sure he sleeps in his carseat. she said he needs to be able to sleep sitting more upright to clear his nasal passages. she also said its the reason why he wont breastfeed properly!!!!!!!!! well, at least i know now why he couldnt do it!!

I'm glad it was nothing too serious. That's really scary though. I hope he feels better!!

That happened to my son the day he was born and the nurses kept telling me he was fine. Hours later he was rushed by emergency ambulance to Texas Children's Level 3 NICU because his lungs had collapsed.

Lilly was super congested too, after being born by c section. I woke up to her choking and gagging many times. I was constantly clearing her nose and throat with the little bulb. It took about 3 weeks for it to clear up, and sleeping more upright helped. We preferred the swing in the recline position, less chance of her head falling forward, our carseat seemed more angled or something.
