I always sleep that way. I actually don't like our bed so sometmes I sleep on the couch and I always sleep into the couch with her in my arms. Same when I'm sleeping in bed, I sleep with her in my arms toward the wall. I've never had any problems at all.

How cute!

actually it is not recommended by ANYONE to place a baby between the mother and father

the safest thing to do is put your mattress on the floor

That's what I've heard, too...not to put baby between two people...
I won't have to worry about that, though...

she is talking about one case where a nanny took a baby into a bed at a beach house where the baby slipped down between the mattress and the wall.

They dont say what kind of bed, if the mattress slips around, if she was drunk

there are no details in the story

i agree with Beth, put your bed against the wall. also be sure to put her perpendicular to you so her feet are facing you so if you roll you'll hit her feet first and wake up. we use a pack and play with the padded bed sheet and she loves it. She wouldnt even begin to sleep in her bassanet. she also likes to sleep on my chest-its her fav position. She would def be a belly sleeper if I would let her

Eh. Yeah, I always make sure the matress/bed is where it should be. I'm never like right up on the wall anyways lol, just facing that way just in case.

there are way to safely co-sleep

just because a few people dont c-sleep safely, doesnt mean that it is any less safe the crib-sleeping

there are so many crib deaths

and the risk of SIDS actually rises in the crib

Good tip, but not sure if it will work on a twin bed...? I might have to give it a try.
