The Lansinoh Double Electric Pump works good, it runs around $150. But I have the Medela you put in the link, I LOVE it!

I planned on doing what you are planning on doing. I ended up exclusivly pumping. I got this pump:
http://www.medelabreastfeedingus.com/products/breast-pumps/173/single-deluxe-breastpump
It was a great pump. It definitely wasn't for everyday use but i actually did you it for everyday use and though it wasn't convienient fot that it was a good pump. Most of the bottles fit right on it too so you don't have to transfer milk all the time.
Good Luck!

I used to breastfeed on one side and hand pump on the other at the same time. The let down reflex works on both breasts when you feed, so you will have a good flow going. Its a bit tricky at first, propping babys head up and squeezing the other breast, but it works and you can fill up a bottle full.
I am not sure about any cheaper models so thats why I just put my extra extra cheap tip in.

I had a single medela pump that I really liked, but I used it too much and it died. I wanted to save some $ so I bought a 'first years' pump for this baby. I'm a SAHM so I only use it to pump a bottle if I'm gonna be out and about. If I could turn back the clock I would have invested in a nice medela double pump. The first years pump I have totally blows!! It literally made me bleed.   I would get a medela.....it's worth it, formula is sooooooooo crazy expensive think of it as an investment in your baby

I have the single medela pump...the "swing" or something like that.

It's not a waste if you can afford the double. It is so valuable to have a baby who is willing to drink from a bottle. Somebody else can help with late-night feedings, and in my experience, other people think it's really fun to feed the baby. I could not have survived breastfeeding for the past 6+ months without a pump.

I wish I had the double, though. Pumping both sides at once helps you to produce more milk, and I imagine it must be way more efficient in general.

I have the manual Avent isis. It's a good pump. I used this kind with my son and again with my daughter. It's around 45 dollars at Babies R us.

Breastfeeding is great! Most doctor's dont recommend bottle feeding if you're going to exclusively breastfeed till they're about 2 or 3 months old... that way they dont get nipple confusion. Bottles are easier to drink out of then latching onto a nipple... babies can get lazy!

In the beginning, it will hurt for 3 to 7 days... but it's only temporary pain! You can do it!!!

As for pumps, I recommend the Medela one. Good luck!

Yes. I exclusively pumped with it for 13 months. I never had a problem.

I have the same Medala Electric pump. In my opinion it stinks. Totally a waste of money. I think the medala handpump that I got for free at the hospital works way better. I get more ounces out of the single handpump then I do out of the double breast pump. By the way, they are unreturnable after the seal on the box is broken. So now I can't return it.

That's what I thought too, but when I took my LO to the pedi for jaundice in her first few days, the pedi told me to go ahead and start pumping, because if I waited too long then the baby might not want to take a bottle at all.

Then my sister-in-law told me that's what happened with the younger of my two nephews. She introduced the bottle at like 8 weeks, and he refused it completely. She was never able to give him a bottle at all, ever.

We never had nipple confusion. My DD decided to be anti-bottle between months 2 and 3, but then she got over it. I have no idea what the issue was, but I go to work 3 days a week now, DH gives her bottles, everything is a-ok.
