Life is too short

Yesterday morning at 1:30 a.m. my cousin died. It was VERY unexpected   she went in for a routine OB check thurs morningand the dr told her go to the ER b/c they couldn't see the baby b/c of her fibroids. At the Hospital they wanted to do exploratory surgery to see if the baby was in her tube [WTF?] I mean she was 9 weeks and her tube hadn't ruptured yeT!!!! anyways...they did the surgery, cut her wrong and she has blood clots as is and after surgery they didn't turn on the inflatable bag things (sry can't think of the technical term at this moment) on her legs. She was supposed to be immobilized also but the drs n nursed wouldnt come help her to the restroom or anything, she was trying to get up on her own  

Then later that night around 11 she started feeling really bad and she just kept getting worse...then she passed  

I'm so torn...she was my belly buddy...we had the same due date and everything!!!! My auntie and family are so sad and it hurts so dern bad...she was only 29   and she left behind her beautiful 5 y.o. son  

And we just found out that the intern doing her surgery wasn't even supposed to be working on a high risk woman or anything...i feel like they killed my cousin  

thx 4 reading...I had to let that out too...it seems like my situation keeps going from bad to worse...Lord plz give me strength...

i don't understand why they did a exploratory surgery for that..and not an ultrasound like they normally do to check for tubals....

Thank you all...it happened so dern quick....i just thought someone was playing a horrible trick when they called me and then i went to my aunts house and seen all the tears and it was true  

I am so sorry I would sue for malpractice.

Exactly...but they thougt mine was n my tube too, but my OB was like that's crazy talk I'm 9weeks, my baby would have caused my tube to rupture by now!

That hospital is horrible
I was in the ER the other day n they told me my bby didn't have a heart beat but my OB ( i luv him so much LOL) came in and did an ultrasound, saw the heartbeat AND listened too it, and my bby had the hiccups (LOL)

My aunt went in for an apendectomy(sp?) and left with her intestines in KNOTS

Its a shame that thats the only hopsital that we can get too around here...its horrible!

yes, a girl in my ddb group just had a ectopic pregnancy..she was only 4 weeks or so and she had bad cramping on one side, they did an ultrasound to confirm..they shouldn't have been doing anything envasive w/out knowing for sure if it was tubal or not
i would definetly get a lawyer...its sad how much faith we put into the medical system, when they so often make mistakes like this..but they should pay for it

They really should! and all the dr said is I guess it was complications from the surgery....

My aunt was like you think? Ignorant asses!!! They didnt have to do surgery!
