Quoting Mommy to Grace: When are you leaving? I always try to leave for road trips around nighttime, but at a month old, I would ... [snip!] ... most of the way. How far is it? I would nurse her right before you leave and change her right before you leave. That may help.about 6 hrs. and we would have to leave at 2 when her daddy gets off work. we are trying to go see my dad at the lake because I have to go back to work the 13th and wont get vacation for another year and I havnt been down there in forever. and she does sleep alot in the car.
Quoting Mommy to Grace: If it is not too far, let her eat like an hour before you leave until she is completely full and maybe ... [snip!] ... by yourself with her? I think it would be a little hard if she has not had a bottle b4 and you give her one in her carseat..yes she has I only could breast feed 2 weeks. and her daddy will be with us.
Quoting *Riley's Mommy*: yes she has I only could breast feed 2 weeks. and her daddy will be with us.Well I personally would nurse right before and have a bottle as well, in case she wakes up b4 you get there. If you are sitting in the back with her, there should not be a real problem with it at all feeding it to her while she is in her seat. You may get lucky and she may sleep the whole way though lol.
Quoting Davey and Lauren *HJM*: my LO eats bottles pretty fast (he is usually breast fed I pumped for this trip). We just stopped, Hubby ... [snip!] ... food, I fed and burped baby and we were back on the road in 30 mins... He is also only 2 weeks old and eating like 3 oz tho.your lucky! when I was breast feeding she would eat for a whole hour and still take a bottle. I dont think she was ever getting enough though. It would be so much easier if we could see how much they were eating when they breastfeed

I don't feel okay about having him out of the car seat while driving and I really don't want to hang out at a gas station all day...
Quoting *melodie* [[BBM]]: you could pump, and take a bottle with you. And then if she happens to get hungry, feed her and when ... [snip!] ... a strict schedule. When you have such a little one though, sometimes you really don't have a choice but to be on their schedule.
