posted 4th Jul
i dont think i was to young. young yes very young. but i lucked out and have an amazing husband if it wasnt for him idk what id do. i worked my whole pregnancy untill i was overdue saving up money and buying every thing for my son. i was still living at my moms and comleating my senior year. i was only 17. Shawn joined the navy, and i had to give birth with out him there   but i moved out of my moms house 3 months after Maddox was born   and 2 months after my 18th birthday   ive been living on my own for a year now. and some times it gets hard. even more so now with Shawns mother needing care and having coustody of his brother. but i think i do a damn good job for a 19 year old

I was 19 when I got pregnant, I had a stable job and income and even my own place, I'm a high school and college graduate but I was no where near ready to become a parent.

I think 'ready' is a relative term. I'm a good parent, would I be a better parent if I were 25 or 30? Honestly I'm not sure.

In my case my pregnancy didn't halt my life in any way, changed it yes but I'm still moving forward.

My personal belief that people under the age of 16 shouldn't be having sex to begin with (which is hypocritical because I was), and I believe 16-18 is too young because the high school experience is a very important one, not to mention the education part of it. So I suppose if I were to answer your question absolutely honestly, I believe anyone under the age of 18 is too young, which isn't saying that they're bad parent(s) but nevertheless, too young.

I don't care what age you are. IF you're working McDonalds and living off the government and or your parents, you have no right to have children you can't afford.

That being said, anyone under 18 is too young and even then I don't agree w/it. If you are still considered a child you have no business having children of your own. I don't care what kind of part time or "good" job you have. You need to get a real education or establish yourself in a feild before have kids.

I know i won't be as great a parent a could have been if i was older just because i'm still pretty much a child yeah legally i'm an adult but i don't think like one... it's not the financial situation it's a maturity situation &it's really not a teenage thing i think no one under 25 should have kids. and i have friends that are 2627 & 28 and theyare still not ready to have kids

Depends on the person. I had my first at 27. But I also know if I had a baby at 16 I would have grown up fast and been a good mother. My life would have been much harder though.

there is a girl from my town that is pregnant right now and she is only 10 years old  My friend who works at a grocery store talked to the girls mom and she said she had only started her period a few months ago. I feel bad for that poor girl and the baby

Personally, I don't think anyone under 21 should be having babies, or at least the majority of people shouldn't. I say this because at 21/22, the average person has finished their education (whether it'd be Associate's or Bachelor's) and obtain some sort of DECENT-paying job. There are also afew things that a 21 y.o. can do that someone under that age cannot (i.e. rent cars, buy alcohol, etc).

I'm not saying that if you are under the age of 21, you are automatically a bad parent because that is definitely not the case for some individuals. I do think, however, that people should wait a few years out of high school to experience life, further their education, get a job, see the world...those sort of things.

4. You cant spell simple words like "pregnant" or "dilate" or "cervix"

Okay then... so if you're dyslexic you're ''too young'' to have a child???

As far as raising a child, mental age is so much more important than physical age.

What bothers me the most is the girls that go: 'Age is just a number. I'll be a god mom even though I'm young' All the 'I'm so mature blah blah blah' shit. They aren't if they have to announce it to everyone. If you're telling me you're mature, IMO you aren't because you have to advertise the fact. EH, that's a whole other complaint though.

thats wat i thougth i mean when i was 10 my mom wanted to knwo wher i was at all times i dont even live w/ my parents anymore and sometimes she still calls to see wat im doing lol so i really dont understand how a 10 year old got pregnant. I mean i know the girl brought it upon her self but i just think its way way to young to go threw being pregnant. I really hope she decides to give the baby up to a family who is ready for a baby
