yeah im not i cant say i am aainst it because i myself would pobably do it so it would be wrong to say im aginst it. but you cant bring a baby into the world if you just simply cant. not every sitution is plain and simple. girls shouldnt have to expplain to rude people why they want one in the first place. and if i am being elfish then fine! i dont care. i am the one who is going to be raising a child and if i think i cannot do a well enough job then i would rather not bring a innocent baby into that. so call me selfish all you f*ckn want sweetheart your not going to change my oppinion.

Look OP, do what you feel is right, not what the Pro-lifers on BG tell you to do. Yes, adoption is an option but the always fail to tell girls like yourself how overcrowded the adoption agencies are. Most kids don't get adopted becuase they aren't white, heathy and have existing medical conditions.

You also have to consider the fact that you have no clue who the father is or what kind of medical history he may have. On that note, I hope you have been tested.


There are a lot of other options but I wouldn't worry about anyone else's opinion but your own.

Everyone knows it's you're choice, and you'll do what you want.

But to be in your circumstance where you yourself are a "product" of rape, you of all people should understand that it's not the baby's fault that that horrible thing occurred. That the baby's life still has value, regardless of how it was conceived.
Having an abortion if that's what you WANT to do is one thing. You were raped, it's your decision. In your OP you sound like you are doubting that decision.

But saying that you would rather end your child's life than give it up for adoption to a loving home is not thinking about what's best for the baby. It is selfish.

And I dont understand how the thought of aborting your baby is any easier to swallow than giving him or her up to a family that wants a baby desperately. Either way, you lose the baby. Just one way involves killing it, which is a permanent solution to atemporary problem, and the other way involves letting it live and go on to have a happy life with parents who are capeable of providing for it.
Or you could keep it.  

But I dont think it's fair to get bent out of shape and think I'm being rude to you for speaking the truth. This is a public forum after all.

And FYI, babies who are put up for adoption through a private agency with no strings attached are almost ALWAYS adopted immediately upon birth. You usually get your choice of parents to choose between. I know this because my friend just gave her baby up 6 months ago. And there was a huge waiting list of parents to take her daughter.

i am very sorry that this has happened to you. Ultimately the desicion is up to you. I am 16 and pregnant as well. It was not because of rape though, but i do understand about situations like that personally. My mother was raped at 14, and ended up finding out she was pregnant with me. She had abortion through her mind as well. But my great grandmother begged of her not to. My mom decided to still have me, even though it was through rape. don't know my father and he does not know that I'm alive. This may hurt thinking this way of what kind of mom would you be giving your child no father. But personally i feel stable and as my mother did a great job of raising me. She was drunk n her situation as well and hardly remembers the night. all im saying is, if my mother would have not chosen to keep me, I wouldn't even be writing you right now. I don't know if me sharing this with you will help you or even phase you, but i just felt led to let you know, it has happened. you're not alone.

If you are even slightly re-thinking the abortion, please don't have one.
I had one when I was your age and it was for medical reasons, but I regret it every single day. Now that I have my son it is even worse... because I picture him being the younger sibling of the baby I gave up.

It's very hard and I am so incredibly sorry for what you've gone through and are currently going through. You've got a tough road ahead of you but you can figure this out.
